The Democratic Alliance in the City of Ekurhuleni stands with the residents of Springs and the broader community of Ekurhuleni who have seen Pam Brink Stadium fall into a state of disrepair.
A venue which previously played host to numerous international sporting events is now derelict. This multi-purpose facility was once a thriving sports stadium utilised by sporting clubs, schools and the community.
Floodlights stand proudly but shed no light. The stadium’s fields are overgrown, and the grandstands are in a state of disrepair. Years of neglect is evident but the structure still remains.
The possibility of restoration to its former glory may seem distant but it is not impossible!
However, the ANC and EFF-led coalition in the Municipality has decided to demolish the stadium and utilize the land for a private cemetery.
We cannot allow this to happen.
The DA in Ekurhuleni commits to saving our beloved stadium. Join hands with us, sign our online petition and make your voice heard. We will fight to save, preserve and restore Pam Brink Stadium to its former glory.
