DA in Ward 38 to host a virtual public meeting to provide service delivery report back
by Cllr. Malcolm Maifala-Masebe — DA Ward Councillor in Ekurhuleni
Date: 10 August 2021
Release: Immediate
Type: Press Statement
The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Brackenhurst and Brackendowns will host a virtual meeting on the 19th of August 2021, where residents are invited to attend.
As has been the case every August since the start of the current term, the DA will be reporting back on the work the councillor of Ward 38 has been doing since 2016. Residents are also invited to join the meeting to give the DA feedback on their needs and expectations.
With the uncertainty of when the next local government elections will be, the DA is not putting its commitment to be transparent on hold. This meeting is held with the aim of allowing residents to review their Ward Councillor’s performance.
As the DA, we have seen over the past few weeks how residents continue to see irregularities with service delivery due to the municipality’s failed systems. We remain committed to building an environment that allows residents to receive quality service delivery.
The DA believes it is when the residents are empowered to take a stand, that change can take place in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE). All residents and business owners are, therefore, invited to join the virtual public meeting either on Zoom or via Facebook Live.
The meeting will take place on Thursday 19 August 2021 at 18:30 and will be broadcast via Zoom and on the Facebook Page, Ekurhuleni Ward 38 Community — Brackenhurst and Brackendowns.
Residents can also request to join the meeting via zoom by registering for the event online through the following link https://forms.gle/gNtC3KvUwy5mUUaJ7. Registration must be completed by 17:00 on the 17th of August.
