DA launches service delivery registers to tackle potholes and streetlights issues in Brackenhurst and Brackendowns

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Ekurhuleni is proud to announce the launching of online service delivery registers for residents of Brackenhurst and Brackendowns to record long-standing potholes and streetlights issues.

Considering the number of issues recorded relating to potholes and faulty streetlights in Ward 38, the DA aims to consolidate all issues in order to hold the relevant Departments to account regarding outstanding issues.

Residents can help the DA with compiling a list of all outstanding issues, which have been reported via the Ekurhuleni Call Centre but have yet to be actioned. They can do this by recording these issues via Google Forms for the purposes of raising issues with the relevant departments as well as Members of Mayoral Committees for Infrastructure and Energy, Water and Sanitation, Cllr Themba Kalipa and Cllr Senzi Sibeko respectively.

The DA appreciates the backlog of issues that the Multi-Party Coalition faces and considers these registers helpful in making sure that outstanding issues are efficiently reported and that the administration is held to account accordingly in light of improving service delivery. Residents are encouraged to record their reference numbers on the service delivery register for tracking and verification purposes. Without these reference numbers, the DA will not be able to verify how far back the issue was reported via the Call Centre.
