Democratic Alliance in Ward 98, Ekurhuleni would like to commend the Water and Sanitation Department for their swift and efficient response in resolving a sewer leakage in Thobela Street, Duduza.

On Sunday, I logged a call with the call centre, reporting the leaking sewer at 17h00pm. I was very pleased to see officials on the ground from the Water and Sanitation Department at 18h20 working to resolve the matter.

The officials worked tirelessly around the clock to fix the leak, despite the area being affected by loadshedding at the time.

As the PR councillor, I would like to applaud the Water and Sanitation Department for its commitment to getting the basics right by making sure that services are promptly delivered to residents.
