The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Ward 38, the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE), will on Tuesday, 28 June 2022 at 18:30 take residents of Brackenhurst and Brackendowns through the new tariffs which will come into effect from 1 July 2022. The meeting will take place at Bracken Park Community Hall at the corner of JG Strijdom and Hennie Alberts Streets.
As promised to the residents during the May public meeting, residents will be informed of the tariff changes from July 2022. Furthermore, the DA will also take the opportunity to highlight the details of the budget, passed by the Multi-Party Coalition, for the 2022/23 Financial Year.
Along with giving highlights of the budget, the DA will also give residents details on how service delivery issues are to be addressed, which include the ongoing issue of faulty streetlights, road infrastructure issues as well as process flow on reporting service delivery issues and the turnaround times expected of the Metro.
The DA remains committed to delivering on its promises of improving the road infrastructure, ensuring streetlights are fixed, improving safety for residents, and ensuring the City operates in the best interest of ratepayers as part of the Back to Basics approach espoused by the Multi-Party Coalition.
