The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the City of Ekurhuleni welcomes the appointment of the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO).
The GCFO position is responsible for not only ensuring financial stability in the City, but also for ensuring legislative compliance.
The City is currently in a dire financial position which is why it was imperative that this position be filled as a matter of urgency.
While we are happy there is now a GCFO, we will continue to diligently monitor the City’s financial performance to ensure that money is not squandered, and residents receive the services they are entitled to.
