Date: 4 August 2022
Release: Immediate
Type: Media statement
The Democratic Alliance in Ward 91, welcomes the fixing of potholes on Mooifontein road. This follows the launch of the Multi-Party Coalition’s campaign last month, to address the major pothole backlog in the City.
Over the last few days contractors have been on site fixing the long-standing potholes. This comes as a relief to both motorists and residents who utilise the road on a daily basis.
As the Ward councillor for Ward 91, I welcome the progress being made on road repairs and it is a testament to the success of the City’s Back to Basics campaign in improving service delivery.
So far, about 5 200m2 of potholes have been patched across the City.
Whilst this is a City-wide program, and roads have been identified for repairs, I would like to I encourage residents to continue reporting potholes on the ‘My Ekurhuleni Service Delivery App’, call into the City’s call centre on 0860 543 000 or log via email on Call.Centre@ekurhuleni.gov.za
