Nursery School before painting process was initaited.

The DA in Kwa-Thema recently painted a nursery school in Kwa-Thema, including starting a book drive donation for the nursery schools in the area.

The Democratic Alliance collaborated with Sizwe Radebe of DBCons who donated paint for the project.

Although the core mandate is to fundraise for books to assist the children with their pre-school education, it does not exist in a vacuum, as Kwa-Thema is marred with pervasive social ills such as poverty, lack of proper housing, alcohol, and drug abuse and high rates of teenage pregnancies — issues that affect the fabric of society.

The Democratic Alliance in Kwa-Thema extends its thanks to everyone who supported their initiative especially the local Democratic Alliance members who came out in their numbers to support and donate their time.

Anything good Samaritans offer us goes a long way, and we are thankful to Sizwe Radebe for fulfilling his promise of donating.

The donation drive is still ongoing, and members of the public can reach out to the local leadership if they wish to donate or form part of the initiative.
