Name: Eulbri Kubayi

Ward: Ward 102, Ekurhuleni

My name is Eulbri Kubayi, and I am the Democratic Alliance Ward 102 Candidate in Ekurhuleni.

I am standing as a Ward Councillor because I strongly believe in promoting efficient and good governance and ensuring that the residents of Ekurhuleni receive basic services, as enshrined in the constitution of South Africa.

Furthermore, as a councillor, I am able to represent residents’ issues with the City and be the link for representation on issues of public importance and driving the budgeting and spending process. More importantly, I will also be playing an oversight role — ensuring that the municipality is accountable to its residents.

I plan to drive the following pertinent issues in Ward 102:

• The repair and maintenance of streetlights
• Human settlements irregularities
• Waste removal
• Electrification backlog
• Illegal dumping
• Crime and substance abuse
• Social services
• Infringement of by laws
• Land invasion

My vision for Ward 102 is to see the community enjoy interrupted and consistent service delivery. I also want to ensure that Council addresses the issues and problems of its residents. Additionally, I want to ensure that service delivery standards are adhered and drive public participation in Council processes.

I will be engaging with the community by providing regular feedback to the public, taking ward issues to Council, and escalating identified issues to relevant council departments and other spheres of government.
