Name: Khathutshelo Rasilingwane

Ward: Ward 110, Ekurhuleni

My name is Khathutshelo Rasilingwane and I am the Democratic Alliance Ward 110 Candidate in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE).

I am standing as a Ward Councillor because I am passionate about my community and strive to be a representative voice for residents in the Ward. I believe that the DA is the only Party that can adequately serve the community through its values of freedom, fairness, opportunity and diversity

The main issues that affect the Ward include the constant power outages experienced by the community, as well as no maintenance of parks and roads, a lack of housing, increasing drug abuse and the lack of economic opportunities for the youth in the community.

My plan for the Ward is to represent the community concerns in Council so that solutions can be reached for the numerous problems residents face. I also plan to continue reaching out to the community through different platforms, such as house meetings and public meetings. I also plan to continue being responsive/Accessible and accountable to the community through all social and digital platforms.

I have the ability to easily empathise abs relate to people. This skill has helped me in my role as a PR councillor. It is a unique skill, which makes it easier for me to quickly identify and understand resident’s pain points and challenges, and makes it very easy to establish trust and build relationships with the community.
