Name: Matshepo Kodisang

Ward: Ward 79, Ekurhuleni

My name is Matshepo Kodisang, and I am the Democratic Alliance Ward 79 Candidate in Benoni, Ekurhuleni.

The DA represents what I stand for, it is the only party that epitomizes the Constitutional rights and values that we are governed by. I believe in the DA’s policy for freedom, fairness, and opportunity and it is for this reason that I am standing as a Ward Councillor.

Currently, Ward 79 has an array of service delivery challenges, but these will be given top priority: — frail and ageing infrastructure, poor road conditions and the absence of roads, access to housing, faulty streetlights, and the lack of community involvement with regards to projects and programmes designed to enhance lives of residents. These issues will be my top priority, while ensuring that residents receive consistent and reliable service delivery.

My vision is to teach residents about Council processes and how they work and to get the community to actively participate in IPD processes. I want to start meaningful engagements with the community through community meetings, information tables, pamphlet distribution and digital media.

I am passionate about public service, and I cannot wait to bring the DA difference to the community of Ward 97.
