Name: Simon Mohapi

Ward: Ward 45, Ekurhuleni

My name is Simon Mohapi, and I am the Democratic Alliance Ward 45 Candidate in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE).

I am standing as a Ward Councillor because I want to make a difference in my ward and community based on the values of freedom, fairness, opportunity and diversity.

I intend to improve the lives of many residents by fixing the major issues afflicting the community such as sewage overflow, non-functional streetlights, potholes and electricity outages. I also intend to improved youth unemployment and provide recreational facilities for the community.

I am actively involved in my community primarily through promoting health and fitness. I myself am a fitness consultant and encourage activities such as walking, running and other forms of outdoor exercise that improve the health and wellness of residents.

I am committed and believe I can make a positive and meaningful contribution to people’s lives in my community.
