Name: Tebogo Masenya

Ward: Ward 9, Ekurhuleni

My name is Tebogo Masenya, and I am the Democratic Alliance Ward 9 Candidate in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE).

I am standing as a Ward Councillor because of the commitment of the Party to fight corruption and ensure that the community receives services and residents can live in a healthy and safe environment.

The Ward experiences major issues related to illegal dumping because of inconsistent refuse removal, as well as a major backlog for applications for indigent housing related to a lack of title deeds.

My vision is to revive active participation, encourage social and economic development through honest and accountable leadership.

I am a PR councillor and member of an NGO with plans to engage and work with different stakeholders and interest groups in the community to promote better engagement.

I have been a community activist and youth leader in Tembisa before I joined politics. I also have completed a course in public management, which will come in handy to understand the complex challenges around local government.
