On 14 February 2025, the Ward 24, Ward Committee — led by DA Councillor Nicola Da Silva, in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), embarked on a community greening initiative by planting trees at local parks.
The aim of the project was to promote environmental sustainability and community engagement.
The Ward Committee also donated trees to a local children’s home, spreading joy and promoting environmental education among the youth.
We are thrilled to have partnered with the DFFE in rolling out this initiative to in our community.
It is hoped that the DFFE’s generous donation of trees will have a long-lasting impact, not just as beautification, but as an environmentally focused legacy for generations to come.
